E2K-F10MC1 NPN NO output Capacitive proximity level control switches

Capacitive proximity switches are a common type of non-contact sensor that detect the presence or distance of an object by sensing changes in capacitance between the object and the sensor. They are mainly used to detect the position, count, or location of objects, such as detecting the presence of cartons or plastic bottles in packaging machinery. They can also be used for liquid level control, such as non-contact detection of liquid height when installed on the outer wall of containers in the chemical and water treatment industries.

The E2K-F10MC1 is commonly used in the following scenarios:
1. Liquid level detection: Detecting the water level or oil level in containers (through non-metallic container walls or direct contact with the liquid).
2. Material detection: Detecting plastic bottles, cartons, wooden boards, and glass products on conveyor belts.
3. Powder/granule detection: Detecting plastic granules, grains, cement powder, etc., in hoppers.
4. Human/hand detection: Detecting whether a hand is nearby in certain safety applications.

    Working Principle

    A capacitive proximity switch is composed of a high-frequency oscillator and an amplifier. The sensor detection surface and the ground form a capacitor through which current flows, and this capacitor participates in the oscillation circuit's operation.
    1. When there is no object: The capacitance is small, and the oscillator does not oscillate.
    2. When there is an object: When an object approaches the detection surface, the dielectric constant changes, causing the capacitance to increase, and the oscillator starts oscillating. The subsequent circuit detects the oscillation signal and converts it into a switch signal output.
    Note: It is sensitive to any object that changes the dielectric constant.
