ESMFS Vertical Installation Double Float Level Switch for water tank
Working Principle
It is mainly based on Archimedes' buoyancy principle. When the liquid level changes, the float moves up or down with the liquid level, driving the switch through lever transmission or magnetic coupling to achieve the opening and closing of the circuit. Among them, the mechanical contact float switch directly drives the mechanical contacts to open or close through a lever; the magnetic float switch uses the magnetic force between the magnet inside the float and the reed switch to control the closing and opening of the reed switch.
Vertical Guide Rod Structure:
A vertical PP plastic tube serves as the guide rod, internally containing two (or more) sets of reed switches.
Two independent ring-shaped PP floats are fitted on the outside of the guide rod and can freely slide up and down with the liquid level.
Independent Dual Float Control:
Float A (High Level): Positioned at the upper part of the container, used to detect high liquid levels (e.g., stop pump when full, high-level alarm).
Float B (Low Level): Positioned at the lower part of the container, used to detect low liquid levels (e.g., start pump when water is low, low-level alarm).
Signal Output: Typically has 3 wires (common COM, high-level NO/NC, low-level NO/NC) or 4 wires (two sets of independent contacts). The two signals do not interfere with each other and can be connected to the control circuit simultaneously.
Product Features
The advantages are simple structure, ease of use, safety and reliability. It operates faster than general mechanical switches, has a long service life, strong load impact resistance, can achieve multi-point control with a single product, and is easy to maintain. The disadvantages are lower measurement accuracy, unsuitability for high-viscosity liquids, and requirements for container pressure, density, and dielectric constant. Installation may require halting production, cleaning the tank, making openings, or performing hot work.
