ESMLS02R Tensile and compressive S-type load cell for testing machines
Working Principle
ESMLS02R S-type load cells are usually composed of an elastic body made of high-strength alloy steel or stainless steel and strain gauges. The strain gauges are precisely attached to the part of the S-shaped elastic body that is most susceptible to deformation. When a force is applied to the top or bottom of the sensor, the middle 'beam' of the S-shape undergoes slight bending, causing the strain gauges attached in this area to be stretched or compressed, which changes their resistance. This disrupts the initial balance of the Wheatstone bridge, and a tiny voltage difference proportional to the applied force appears at the bridge's output. After amplification and processing, this signal finally displays the force or weight value.
Product Features
1. Bi-directional tension and compression: symmetrical structural design with consistent tension and compression performance.
2. High precision: bending/shear composite stress mode, good linearity, low hysteresis.
3. Strong off-center load capacity: S-shaped structure naturally compensates for lateral forces and eccentric loads.
4. Low profile: compact structure, height usually less than diameter.
5. Easy installation: standard threaded design at both ends.
6. Overload protection: can withstand 150% safe overload.
7. Good sealing: laser welding or glue sealing used.
