ESMLUGB vortex flow meter for flow measurement and automatic control
Working Principle
When fluid flows past a triangular or cylindrical vortex shedding body, vortices are alternately generated on both sides; this type of vortex is called a Kármán vortex. The release frequency of the vortices, f, is related to the average velocity of the fluid v passing the vortex shedding body and the characteristic width d of the vortex shedding body, that is, f = v Sr / d, where Sr is the Strouhal number. By using piezoelectric or capacitive sensors to detect the pressure changes caused by the vortices, the frequency signal is converted into an electrical signal, and then the flow rate is calculated according to the flow formula Q = A × v (where A is the cross-sectional area of the pipe).
