ESMQC NPN PNP Through Beam Safety Light Curtain Sensor for 24vdc
Working Principle
Light curtain sensors usually consist of two parts: a transmitter (projector) and a receiver (photodetector).
Transmitting end: emits rows of modulated infrared beams.
Receiving end: correspondingly receives these beams.
Detection mechanism:
Normal state: when there are no obstacles in the protected area, all beams reach the receiver smoothly, and the device operates normally.
Triggered state: when an object (such as a finger, hand, or body) enters the protected area and blocks any beam or multiple beams, the receiver detects an interruption in the light signal. The internal control circuit outputs a stop signal (OSSD signal) within milliseconds, forcibly causing the associated machinery to perform an emergency stop.
