ESMTUF2000H Non-Contact Handheld Ultrasonic Flow meter for liquid
Working Principle
The time-difference method is usually used, where an external clamp-on sensor emits and receives ultrasonic waves, measures the difference in propagation time of the ultrasonic waves in the fluid in the downstream and upstream directions, and then calculates the fluid flow velocity. Combined with parameters such as the pipe's cross-sectional area, the flow rate can be determined.
Product Features
Handheld ultrasonic flowmeters are not suitable for long-term fixed monitoring, but are mainly used in the following scenarios:
Online calibration and comparison: When the readings of fixed-installed electromagnetic flowmeters, vortex flowmeters, or fixed ultrasonic flowmeters are abnormal, a handheld device is used for a "comparison test" to determine whether the original meter is faulty or drifting.
Water balance testing: When water supply companies or large factories conduct pipeline network balance tests, it is necessary to temporarily measure the flow at different nodes to find leak points or balance the flow of each branch.
Energy audit: In central air conditioning systems and cooling water systems, temporarily measure the flow in each circuit to evaluate system efficiency and optimize operation strategies.
Fire protection acceptance and inspection: Measure the instantaneous flow and pressure of fire pipelines (in conjunction with a pressure gauge) to ensure compliance with regulations.
Multi-point inspection: For companies with multiple production lines or complex pipeline networks, a single handheld device can be used to sequentially test hundreds or thousands of measurement points, greatly reducing equipment investment costs.
- No need to break the pipeline or stop production; the sensor does not come into contact with the measured medium and causes no pressure loss.
- Small in size and lightweight, with a built-in rechargeable battery, it can work continuously for more than 12 hours, making it convenient for portable and mobile measurements.
- It also has a data recording function, which can record information such as dates and cumulative flow, and some models come with an intelligent on-site printing function.
