The working principle of an ultrasonic level meter is that the ultrasonic transducer (probe) emits high-frequency pulse sound waves, which are reflected back when they encounter the surface of the measured material. The propagation time of the sound wave is proportional to the distance from the wave's emission to the surface of the object. Using the formula S = C × T / 2(where S is the distance traveled by the sound wave, C is the speed of sound, and T is the propagation time of the sound), the distance from the probe to the liquid surface can be calculated.
