Working Principle

The ESMUS10A ultrasonic sensor is based on the principles of ultrasonic propagation and echo reflection. The sensor's transmitter emits ultrasonic pulses, which travel through a medium to the water surface and reflect back. The receiver captures the reflected echoes and converts them into electrical signals. By measuring the time from pulse emission to reception and combining it with the speed of sound, the distance between the sensor and the water surface can be calculated, thereby determining the water level.
