Fixed thread installation K-Type Armored Thermocouple for 304 Stainless Steel

The fixed-thread K-type thermocouple is the most commonly used contact temperature sensor in industrial process control. It encapsulates a K-type (Nickel-Chromium / Nickel-Silicon) sensing element within a stainless steel protective tube, with a standard fixed thread (such as M12, M16, G1/2", NPT1/2") integrated at the bottom. By screwing directly into equipment flanges or pipe interfaces, it achieves high-pressure sealing and secure installation, effectively preventing medium leakage. It has a sturdy structure, good vibration resistance, and a wide measurement range (-200℃~1200℃). It is widely used in pipelines, reactors, boilers, and other scenarios in the petroleum, chemical, power, and metallurgical industries to monitor the temperature of liquids, gases, and steam in real-time, serving as a core sensing component in automated temperature control systems.

    Working Principle

    The K-type thermocouple is based on the Seebeck effect, which states that when the junctions of two different metals are at different temperatures, a potential difference will be generated between them. A K-type thermocouple consists of a nickel-chromium alloy (positive) and a nickel-aluminum alloy (negative). When there is a temperature difference between the hot and cold junctions, a thermoelectric voltage is generated in the circuit, and the temperature can be inferred by measuring this voltage difference.
