UC500-L2 ultrasonic detection Proximity sensor switch for assembly line counting

The UC500-L2 ultrasonic proximity switch is a high-performance non-contact detection device. It operates on the principle of ultrasonic pulse reflection and can accurately detect solids, liquids, powders, and transparent objects, with a detection range of 35-500mm and a blind zone of 0-35mm. It features temperature compensation and can function in environments from -25°C to +70°C. With an IP65 protection rating, it is resistant to dust and oil contamination. The device supports one switch output (programmable PNP/NPN), with repeatability ≤0.1% of full scale, a response frequency ≤7Hz, an operating voltage of 10-30V DC, and short-circuit/overload protection. It is suitable for harsh industrial applications such as metallurgy, logistics, and packaging machinery, meeting the requirements for high-precision and high-reliability detection.

    Working Principle

    The ultrasonic proximity switch's transmitter emits high-frequency ultrasonic waves. When these waves encounter an object, they are reflected back. The receiver captures the reflected echoes, and by measuring the time it takes for the ultrasonic waves to travel from transmission to reception, and combining this with the propagation speed of ultrasound in air, the distance between the sensor and the object can be calculated. When the distance reaches a preset threshold, the switch outputs the corresponding signal.
