The ESMLS05 miniature rod-type diaphragm load cell sensor is a micro force-sensitive element that integrates a rod-type force transmission structure with a diaphragm-shaped thin elastomer. It features bidirectional tension and compression measurement, compact size, and excellent accuracy, designed specifically for tight installation spaces and light-load force control scenarios. Its working principle is as follows: external force acts on the diaphragm elastomer through a stainless steel rod, causing a slight deformation. The strain gauge attached to the diaphragm changes its resistance with the deformation. This change is converted into an mV/V analog signal proportional to the force value via a Wheatstone bridge and can be further converted into 0~10V, 4~20mA, or RS485 digital signals to meet different control requirements.

The core components of the product include the rod, diaphragm elastomer, strain gauge, sealed housing, and signal cable. The diameter is usually less than 30mm. Threaded designs at both ends facilitate direct installation. The protection level can reach IP65/IP66, with corrosion resistance and off-center load tolerance. Nonlinearity, hysteresis, and repeatability are all within 0.1~0.5% FS. It has a fast dynamic response and a temperature compensation range of -20~80℃. It is widely used in applications such as 3C electronics plug-in force testing, robotic gripper force control, medical equipment pressure monitoring, and precision inspection. It offers both domestic high cost-performance options and imported high-precision options, suitable for various automation and precision measurement scenarios.

    Working Principle

    The ESMLS05 tensile and compressive diaphragm box sensor uses foil strain gauges attached to an alloy steel elastic element. When subjected to tensile or compressive forces, the diaphragm deforms, causing the resistance of the strain gauges to change. This change in resistance is converted into a voltage signal through a Wheatstone bridge circuit, and after amplification, an electrical signal proportional to the force is output
