Working Principle
The ESMLS05 tensile and compressive diaphragm box sensor uses foil strain gauges attached to an alloy steel elastic element. When subjected to tensile or compressive forces, the diaphragm deforms, causing the resistance of the strain gauges to change. This change in resistance is converted into a voltage signal through a Wheatstone bridge circuit, and after amplification, an electrical signal proportional to the force is output
Product Features
1. Miniaturized, with a diameter usually < 30mm and short length, suitable for installation in space-limited areas;
2. Capable of both tension and compression, with a measurement range covering a few newtons (N) to several hundred kilograms-force (kgf);
3. Nonlinearity, hysteresis, and repeatability are usually 0.1~0.5% FS, with fast dynamic response;
4. Resistant to eccentric load / lateral force, some models come with overload protection (120~150% FS);
5. Mostly made of stainless steel, corrosion-resistant, with temperature compensation range of -20~80℃.
