UB500-T30 500mm M30 threaded ultrasonic sensor with 4-20ma /0-10v /PNP /NPN output
Working Principle
The ultrasonic proximity switch's transmitter emits high-frequency ultrasonic waves. When these waves encounter an object, they are reflected back. The receiver captures the reflected echoes, and by measuring the time it takes for the ultrasonic waves to travel from transmission to reception, and combining this with the propagation speed of ultrasound in air, the distance between the sensor and the object can be calculated. When the distance reaches a preset threshold, the switch outputs the corresponding signal.

OUTPUT SELECTION GUIDE
1. Choose digital output (E4/E5):
When you only need to know "whether it has arrived": for example, whether a robotic arm has reached its position, whether a package is full, or whether a car door is closed.
Logic: Only two states, "on/off", respond the fastest, and cost the least.
2. Choose analog output (I/U):
When you need to know "how much distance": for example, to calculate the remaining height in a silo in real time, or the real-time distance between an AGV vehicle and obstacles.
Logic: Outputs continuously varying voltage/current, which the PLC can read as specific values for display or closed-loop control.
